Editorial Policy & Methodology

Last updated October 30, 2026

Developers make expensive decisions with what they read here. These are the rules we hold ourselves to so that every page earns that trust.

1. Primary sources first

Numbers come from primary sources wherever they exist: government statistics agencies, tax authorities, immigration departments, official vendor documentation and published industry surveys. Every article lists its sources at the end, and we link to the exact page, not a homepage. If a claim cannot be sourced, we do not state it as fact.

2. Answer first, then evidence

Each guide opens with a short, direct recommendation (“the directive”), followed by the evidence and the trade-offs. We say clearly when something depends on your situation, and we would rather say “it depends, and here is on what” than give a confident answer that is wrong for half of our readers.

3. How we use AI

We use AI tools to help research, outline and edit. A human (Kartikeya Mishra) is responsible for every published page: checking figures against the cited sources, removing anything that cannot be verified and rewriting for clarity. We do not publish unreviewed machine output.

4. Calculators are transparent

Every calculator shows its formula, its assumptions and a worked example generated by the same code you use. Statutory figures (such as tax contribution rates) are pre-filled only when an official source states them, and that source is linked next to the input.

5. Independence

The site is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no say over what we publish, and we do not accept paid placements in editorial content. When we write about something we built ourselves, the article discloses it at the top.

6. Keeping content current

Pages show both a published and an updated date. We review the most-read guides when the underlying data is revised (for example when an annual government dataset is released) and change the updated date only when the content actually changes.

7. Corrections

If you find an error, email hello@algoroasts.com or use the contact form. Confirmed errors are fixed promptly; material corrections are noted on the page.
